Darrell Dane Montoy Darrell D. Montoy was born October 8, 1947, in Salina. He died January 31, 1970, in an automobile accident near Ft. Hood, Texas, where he was a Sp-4c with the US Army. He had recently returned from a tour in Vietnam. The funeral was held at Our Lady of Guadaupe Catholic Church, Salina. Survivors included his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ismael Montoy; brothers, Ismael Jr. and Vincent; five sisters, Bernadette Vargas, Sanjuana Montoy, Phyllis Montoy, Eloise Montoy and Claudia Anaya; grandmother, Celeste Vargas; grandfather, Ralph Montoy. |
